We all have our own negative stories that we tell or have about ourselves. You come to counseling to learn how to sit in joy and happiness, you don't come to learn about how to be depressed, anxious, or learn negative self-talk. I value the therapeutic relationship, together we will build a safe place, as I believe this is one of the key components to become the best version of yourself. We all have different experiences and different needs as humans. I specialize in Narrative Therapy/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my work as a counselor. This theory is rooted in the belief that people are not defined by the problems they may be struggling with; the person is not the problem, the problem is the problem.
Deciding to take the first step to look for a counselor is a HUGE accomplishment and I am already proud of you for taking a step forward in what can be an overwhelming process. In our time together, my goal/hope is to assist you to re-author your story and learn how to sit in happiness vs the negative messages you tell yourself.

I like to think of myself as a trusted guide who accompanies my clients on their explorations, helping them to find a path that will take them to their desired destinations in safety; building awareness and appreciation for the journey along the way. For those interested, my theoretical approach to therapy is a combination of mindfulness, humanism, existentialism and client-centered modalities.
My strengths as a therapist include my ability to stay present with whatever comes up for my clients, my understanding and my patience and trust in the healing process. I prioritize building a strong relationship and trust with my clients, as I believe that it is the building block that provides a stable base from which therapy can be productive and successful.

My theoretical orientation draws primarily from humanist and existential schools of thought. I would describe my style as cognitive-based and intellectual, with no “BS” and a healthy dose of humor. I especially enjoy working with grief and caregiver stress as well as those coming to therapy, not because of a “problem” but because they know they could get more out of life and want to “thrive rather than survive.” In particular, I believe I excel at working with men for whom therapy is a new or uncomfortable experience. I utilize different tools depending on the client and their needs. However, research shows that a good match between therapist and client is far more indicative of success in therapy than the theory or techniques used. So, come in for a no-pressure first appointment to see if our personalities are a good fit!

My approach when it comes to therapy always begins with creating a therapeutic relationship that is based on trust and respect. As your counselor, you can always expect me to operate from a place of honesty and transparency. If you're coming to counseling, there is something important that you want to address or accomplish. Your time is valuable, and you deserve to feel confident in your counseling journey.
I operate from an eclectic perspective as each client has their own unique experiences. My primary modality is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but I also utilize Person-Centered, Mindfulness, and Strength Based models with clients regularly. I offer trauma-informed and somatic therapy and am EMDR trained. I have many years of experience with clients who have had contact with the criminal justice system, are active/retired military, and those with co-occurring disorders.
Everyone seeks out counseling for a different reason. Perhaps they have anxiety, an addiction, or problems in an intimate relationship. Some folks are looking for assistance as they learn what effective communication and healthy boundaries look like. Others desire to heal deep emotional wounds from the past and learn to let go. Everyone has a different story; whether you're looking to process or problem-solve, I'm in your corner.

Finding the best fit counselor can be challenging and a difficult process. There are many situations where we discount the positives and dwell on negatives. Ideally, we will work on finding your balance and a way back to a meaningful purposeful life. By providing honest, positive, and objective feedback to everyday stressors, difficult transitions, struggles with mental health or addictions to become the version of yourself you see and want.
During therapy, we will work as a team to assist you in developing lasting, useful skills and rekindling positive regard for yourself, your surroundings and bring happiness back into your life.
I approach each therapeutic relationship with openness and compassion to embrace your individuality. Sessions are online to provide comfortability and convenience in today's fast pace world.

My personal approach to therapy is eclectic, it is varied and molds to the unique needs and experiences
of my clients. There is no ‘one size fits all’ to how we tackle our problems, so we will work together to
come up with the format that works best for you. I specialize in Art Therapy but offer other person-
centered counseling approaches as well, such as Existential Therapy and Active Imagination Therapy. In
short, we will work together to create a safe and comfortable space where you can speak freely and be
heard and treated with respect and empathy.
Art Therapy is an expressive form of therapy that uses any form of art (poetry, music, dancing etc.), the
creative process itself, and the resulting artwork as a therapeutic and healing process. You do not need
to be ‘good’ at art in order to participate in and benefit from Art Therapy; being good isn’t the point.
You simply do whatever feels right and we find the meaning behind it together.

I believe connection is the key to wellness and trust that we all have the power to heal ourselves, given the suitable space to do so. I am passionate about creating a therapeutic relationship where you can feel seen and heard in a safe, supportive space. I believe that healing starts within and that fostering self-compassion is essential to a person’s well-being and the key to living a joyful life.
I meet each person where they are, with a warm and welcoming presence in a nonjudgmental environment. I work with a blend of theoretical perspectives, including utilizing a person-centered approach, attachment theory, mindfulness, and compassion to help manage the stressors in your life. By working together to identify your strengths and exploring the triggers and behaviors that no longer serve you, we can work to implement the change you desire through mutual respect and empathy.
My areas of focus are working with individuals and couples in their intimate relationships, stress management, building self-esteem, dealing with depression and anxiety, highly sensitive individuals, women's issues, addiction/recovery, grief, and trauma.

I understand that therapy is not an easy process. By working together we can unlock the struggles and hardships which are causing you to feel like you are not operating at your best self. I believe that a healthy therapeutic relationship can really help an individual grow and change into the individual they hope to be. Let's work together!
I specialize in helping clients work through automatic negative thoughts as well as retraining the brain to be a more compassionate place. Reaching out for a therapist is the first step in beginning to heal negative pathways. I believe that together we can create a safe, secure environment where issues, problems and harmful inner dialogues can have a voice and move towards healing. It can be difficult to identify these negative cycles but together we can find a plan which works for you. Therapy looks different for every person but begins with the therapeutic relationship, trust and vulnerability.

I came to this work later in life; I was inspired by the therapy I received at different points in my life to become a therapist. After 16 years of working as a litigation paralegal, I am thrilled to start my career as a relationship and family therapist. I also work with individual clients, always keeping in mind that we live within systems of relationships, personal, professional, and cultural, and those must be explored to see the individual fully.
Life is all about our relationships; to ourselves and to others, connection, and the continuing adventure of coming to know ourselves as we change through the seasons of our lives. I have benefited from excellent couples therapy, family education, and therapy after our daughter was born deaf, and individual therapy at different times in my life. My work as a therapist gives me the chance to bring all of my valuable life experiences and all I learned in my formal education to each session. I see each session as an opportunity to “pay forward” the vital help I have received in the past and help facilitate the change my clients want in their lives.
As a therapist, my goal is to create an environment of acceptance and openness to allow my clients the opportunity to grow into a deeper understanding of themselves, their partners, and their patterns. We all have coping strategies; some are moving us toward who we want to be, and some are not. I am here to help my clients gain awareness of their strategies and find their strengths. Working with them so they can grow into who they truly are and live in a way that brings them purpose and joy. While my approach is person-centered, I incorporate elements from different theoretical orientations to best suit the needs of each client, couple, or family.
Gottman Method
I have finished Gottman Method Level 1 and Level 2 training and am a Gottman Seven Principles Couples Program Leader.

I believe that you deserve a safe space to completely express yourself, feel vulnerable and have someone in your corner to support you. I cherish the opportunity to foster therapeutic relationships where respect, trust, and communication are the key foundations for a healthy and successful growth process. I aim to embody a warm, non-judgmental, empathetic, and accepting presence in the valuable time we share together.
My theoretical approach gravitates towards a combination of narrative and strength-based modalities, as well as other techniques that best fit each client’s unique self-expression. You will always be the expert of your life, and I am grateful to collaborate on this journey of self-acceptance, self-awareness, and meaningful healing.

I work with women walking through the seasons of infertility, conception, pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. You are told this should be the happiest you've ever been, that you should be "soaking up every moment." What if that isn't the case? Which it rarely is. What about when you're facing some of the most challenging moments you've ever experienced? What if you don't recognize yourself in the mirror? What if your partner feels distant? What if your experience looks different than you expected it to? What if you can't enjoy your baby or motherhood because of the exhausting mental load and heavy emotions?
As someone who has had all of those thoughts, I understand. Women are often expected to do it all with a smile on their face. My aim is to support modern women who face high expectations but little help. I am here to listen, empathize, and arm you with the tools to enjoy whatever season of life you're in.
I understand that as a mother, your support system is crucial to your well-being. I feel privileged to be part of a support system for women, offering a constant presence even when life is inconsistent. We can sneak a session in during naptime or feel free to have your baby or toddler present during your sessions. I want you to be at ease and comfortable.

My mission is to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space for individuals navigating life's challenges. I specialize in anxiety, depression, burnout, and grief/loss. Life transitions can be tough, but together, we can find ways to cope and thrive. Supporting the LGBTQ+ community, exploring identity development, and navigating body image/body positivity are close to my heart. Think of our sessions as a safe space where you can explore who you are and embrace your unique identity! My goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported.
I have a special interest in the unique pressures faced by athletes, specifically related to burnout, identity, and performance. As a former Division I, collegiate athlete myself, I understand the stress and challenges that come with the territory, and I'm here to support you in balancing mental health and athletic performance.
I believe in the importance of a holistic approach to mental health, recognizing the interconnectedness of mind and body. My approach is all about you—client-centered and integrative—meaning I tailor my methods to fit your needs. Whether you're a teen facing the pressures of high school or an adult finding your path, I'm here to walk alongside you every step of the way. We’ll work together to build resilience, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth.

I understand the importance and complexity of supervision in guiding supervisees to create their professional identity and story through teaching, supporting, modeling, challenging, consulting, evaluating, and mentoring. I believe the supervision process is a time for supervisees to explore and develop their professional story. I hope to offer room for exploration of a supervisee’s individual style without imposing my own. I encourage supervisees to explore their theoretical orientation during the supervision process and to intentionally explore the interventions they use to foster client development and progress.
